Difference of RJ45 Modular Jack and RJ11 Modular Jack
The significant difference between RJ45 Modular Jack and RJ11 ModularJack are standards and sizes. As the size is different (RJ11 ModularJack is 4 or 6 pin, RJ45 Modular Jack is 8-pin connection device), itobviously that RJ45 Modular Jack can not insert to RJ11 Modular Jack. However, it is physically feasible (RJ11 Modular Jack smaller than theRJ45 Modular Jack), this would be mistaken for these two able to worktogether. In fact it is wrong. So we recommended strongly that not applyRJ11 Modular Jack to RJ45 Modular Jack.
Because the RJ11 Modular Jack is not internationally standardized, their size, insertion force, insertion point Etc. is no uniforminternational standard connector in accordance with design requirements. So that it can not ensure interoperability. They can even cause thedestruction of both. As the RJ11 Modular Jack'sjack is small than RJ45 Modular Jack which the plastic part of theplug will be damaged on both sides of the jack into the metal needle.
